Picking flowers

Flowers for Nana

The jonquils are blooming here and Cailin loves to pick flowers. She has been sick all weekend, running a fever. Today is very nice so we got out of the house just for a little while to get some fresh air. Cailin picked the flowers and then give them to Nana (aka: my mom). The Jonquil Festival is the weekend of her birthday (March 14-16) at Old Washington State Park. Hopefully the weather will be nice and there will still be jonquils to see so we can go. You know, every small town has a festival of some sorts around here. The Watermelon Festival is in Hope, the Pine Tree Festival is in Dierks, and the Dinosaur Festival is in Nashville. If you are looking for a reason to come visit, I can find you a festival to attend. Today was the first day that she would get on Papa's tractor. She sure did enjoy it.

Moooo!

Look out the window and you will see what Cailin and Belle are looking at. The window sills are just the right height for Cailin to sit on.

Such a silly girl!!!
This weekend we found a house we think we would like to purchase. We are still waiting for someone to buy ours. They are showing it right now. Matthew is off today, for President's Day. I guess that is one of the perks of working for a lending agency. You get all the government holidays off.

Getting Settled

It has been a while since I was able to sit down and write. The last couple of weeks have been very busy and full of change. Our plan was to get down here on Feb 3rd but Matthew got the flu. Cailin and I spent the next 3 days trying to avoid getting the flu. We managed. We finally got loaded and got here on Wednesday. I took Cailin to the new daycare on Thursday, during playtime. There is one girl one month younger and several girls that are older. Only three boys out of 14 kids. The weekend was beautiful and spent most of it outside. There is plenty of room to roam here, plus there is the Mule to ride, and a swing set. We rode to the river and got to throw rocks in. However, she just wanted to step in the river and get water on her shoes. Belle is enjoying the country. The cows have intrigued her and keeping her on this side of the fence is a challenge. Today was Cailin's first day of school. She had a good day and took a two hour nap. Hooray!! It sure made the evening much easier. Sorry I don't have new pictures right now. I will work on that this weekend.

Snow on my shoe!!

It's snowing here today. I had to pick Cailin up early from Daycare. When we got home, we played in the snow just for a little bit. "Mama, snow on my shoe. Look Mama."

We put bread out for the birds and squirrels.
Even Belle enjoyed the snow for a little while. The flakes are falling now and they are big. This will most likely be our last snow. It doesn't snow much in Southwest Arkansas.

Fun Photos

Cailin loves to be pushed on her scooter. The faster, the better
Cailin loves her Belle-BelleSitting in the laundary basket waiting for breakfast.

She has learned to put on her pants, she just forgets to take off the pants she is wearing before putting more on.

Wings Mama, Wings

Cailin had a great time on the swings at Nana and Papa's house. Now every time we pass a park or school with swings she points yelling "Wings Mama, Wings". Maybe we can buy a house with a swing.

Arkansas Duck Hunt

Matthew and a couple buddies spent the very cold mornings, this weekend, having one last hoorah!! This is the take from Sunday morning. Saturday mornings take sure did taste good, Saturday night, wrapped in bacon and hot off the grill. Our days in Northwest Arkansas are numbered now. My last day in the office will be Feb. 1st. I will have a week to get situated before I have to get after it down there. We listed our house on Saturday with a Realtor. She was very helpful with tips on staging. But that also means we have to find a new home for the two deer heads and the duck mount in our living room. A big thanks to Craig, he is willing to let us store them in his room at his house. We must say a big congratulations to my friend Traci on the birth of her son on Saturday. If you have a moment, please say a big prayer for them. And don't worry, I will post more pictures of Cailin.
