Random Pics

I was able to snap this one just after Matthew had came home from work. Cailin and I had been cleaning up the Ike debris and she found the little stump that she is sitting on.

We rode the 4-wheeler a lot cleaning up the debris. She loves riding.

Cailin did her fair share of raking.

But, she would rather just ride.

Uncle Michael got baby chicks on Friday. She and I had helped put feed out on Wednesday. That consisted of she and I driving the Rhino so the guys could scoop faster. We went back on Friday. She walked in and said, "There are so many of them". And she is right. About 22,000 per house. She would pick one up and play with it for a minute. I guess they liked her pink shoes.

We are all doing good. Matthew has been in Louisville, KY for apprasial training and has to go back again. The leaves have started to fall and we know the change of seasons is here. Our house is very close to the woods and you can hear the deer walking behind the house.

Finally--Pictures!!

Sorry this has taken so long. But you would understand if you were living in my world right now.

Cailin at the Howard County Fair!
She is on Papa's lawn mower
Every girl needs her cell phone and computer
Getting a hair cut from Mrs. Rhonda before we left Arkansas
Hurricane Ike hits Western KY. This tree is in the backyard.
This is our front yard. We were out of power for a few hours. There are still lots of people out around here. The crops took a beating. Some of the corn was laid on the ground. Matthew has been on the chain saw every evening till dark trying to cut up the limbs. Cailin and I have been loading what we can on the trailer behind the 4 wheeler, which she loves to ride. Her and Belle have learned there places on the 4 wheeler. Today, the front yard looks great! Back yard--not so great.

We've moved!

It's been a while since I was able to update and our lives have turned upsidedown. Matthew accepted a job in Mayfield, Kentucky. He started July 28th. Cailin and I didn't get to move over until Labor Day weekend. We lived with Mattew's brother for a week until our home was vacated and we could get it cleaned. Monday night was our first night here. That was the best night sleep in months. Cailin is adjusting very well. I'm staying home right now. Maybe that helps. We got the house sold in Arkansas. Closing is tomorrow. WooHoo!! Let's hope that everything goes off without a hitch. Sorry no pictures right now. I'll work on that once everything is unpacked!!

Computer crash

My computer has contracted a virus. I'm at the library. Sorry no pictures for a while until we get settled. Hope everyone is doing good. Also, don't send me an email to my work email. I don't figure I'll ever see that computer again.

Nana's flip-flops and big girl panties

This has been Cailin's wardrobe for the last three days. We are working on potty training. She has been wearing big girl panties and is doing very good. I have been leaving her shorts off to make it easier for her to pull her panties down. Now she has been getting into my Mom's flip-flops. Mom has about 5 different pair and yesterday, Cailin wore all 5. She does pretty good keeping them on. I don't see how she walks in them with her toes curled like she does.Over the weekend, we were outside most of the time. To keep her from peeing in her panties, I would ask if she wanted to pee in the grass. Before the weekend was over, she was asking to go outside to pee in the grass. I had to explain this to the daycare this morning, so they would know what she was saying. It has been an interesting weekend. She is doing so good. And now only wants to wear big girl panties. Hopefully we will be diaper free very soon.

Who knew a 2 year old would like reading the paper!!

Back at the Zoo!

Over the holiday weekend, we went back to the house in NWA. All Cailin would talk about was going back to the zoo. So, we took her and had another wonderful time. What a great, cheap way to see a toddler have so much fun. She definitely got closer to the animals this time at the petting zoo, and wanted to feed everything bread.Cailin loves the goats. She is still asking if she can have a goat.

We didn't see the kangaroos last time. This was a first for us all.

Much closer to the turtles this time.

On Saturday, we went to visit some friends that were camping on the river. The river had risen to high to play in it, but there was a little creek that she was able to splash in.

Cailin and "her" Brady were walking back to the camp.
She had so much fun being back for a visit. She really didn't want to leave. She climbed on the bed with Matthew and said, "I love my house". The amount of showings has increased and we could only pray that something happens very quickly so we can get her settled into a new house of her own.
